I have two of the Palmdale, Fl calls from years ago. For Christmas I got one from Venus, Fl and thought nice old call, ho hum. When I got it from its packaging the first thing I noticed was that the striker did not rattle inside the call. The tone of this call is way better than my old ones. These may be one of the best new "old" calls I have now. This is a serious scratch call for tough birds and it fits easily into a vest pocket and carries the chalk and striker.
This is an easy call to use and master. First made in 1946 and still a great design and sound. Thank you son-in -law.
