It's the cheek meat and you fry it just like bacon. Tastes way better than bacon though!

WildTigerTrout

Pork roast with gravy, mashed potatos, sauerkraut and fried green beans with bacon. MMMMM....... good!

We just finished out New Year's lunch. We had mashed taters, greenbean casserole, with oven baked chicken breast. It was awesome.

Tail Feathers

Around here it's black eyed peas and cabbage.  I hate cabbage.

Hard to beat hog jowl and pinto beans with corn bread and fried taters.

Spring Creek Calls

Made up a huge cooker of cabbage, taters, carrots, onions and a whole jowl for my parents last week. They're 96 and 89 and they love their boiled dinner!
