28th annual Georgia NWTF convention and callmakers gathering

This is a great opportunity to visit with the finest callmakers in the country and many of your friends here at old gobbler at one of the longest running callmakers shows in the country

You are invited to the NWTF Georgia State Chapter Convention and Trade Show, featuring many of the Southeast's top custom call makers, Jan. 13-14 at Unicoi State Park Lodge in Helen.

Admission to the trade show is free. The list of call makers scheduled to attend includes Jack Scott, Bob Harwell, Lon Trice, Darrin Dawkins, Tim Sandford, Billy Buice, Dean Mundhenke, Fred Cox, Steve Mann, Harry Burkett, Hoyt Brown, Olin Humphries, Gerry Bramblett, Turkey Killer Kalls Deadly attraction game calls, Melvin Newman and several others.

In addition to seeing the finest craftsmen in the southeast we have some other great activities including:
•The Awards Banquet and Gun Gala Saturday night featuring special guest Tom Kelly, who will sign books and perform a reading at the Gun Gala.
•The Georgia State and Dixie Classic Open Calling Contest Championships
•Wildlife seminars at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday with "Snakes Alive" Steve Scruggs

[Turkey Trot]

Do any of the locals have reports on highway construction, etc. and any routes to avoid that weekend?  I haven't been up there in a while and don't know what is going on.

Sorry to report that the manager of Tom Kelly Inc. just notified us that they have had to cancel and the Col. will not be able to make the trip up to Helen this weekend.

There will still be quite a gathering of the finest callmakers in the southeast so I hope to see you there.
