Mark Cook and his crew hosted another great still target shoot to kick off the 2012 season.

Mark puts on this shoot, as well as others, each year to raise money for his activities for the Wheelin' Sportsmen. He hosts a deer hunt, dove hunt and other outdoor events for these folks each year. He and his wife Connie are fine folks and an integral part of the NWTF in SC.

This event included a sporting clays shoot and an oyster roast dinner at the conclusion. It was a great day for shooters and anyone who enjoys being out of doors.

Jacob Niles won the JAKES class.

Brian Sloan won the Muzzle Loader class.

Steve Conover won the 12 Gauge Open class.

Doris Bush won the 20 Gauge Ladies class.

Clark Bush won the 20 Gauge Open class.

The JAKES were also able to shoot a round of sporting clays.

It was a great day of shooting, camaraderie and fun. I'd encourage anyone to look for one of these events in your area and then come out and give it a try.

Thanks,
Clark

I made an error in my original post about the JAKES winner at the Clinton House Plantation still target shoot.

His name is Jacob McNeely.

I apologize to Jacob for the error.

Thanks,
Clark
