Yes. Many fella's won't or don't hunt fall turkey. Say they would rather call them in when they are gobbling.
Often times in the fall gobblers can be called in strutting and gobbling just like springtime. Why not double your pleasure I always ask them?
They breed thru photoperiodism , the number of hours of daylight are the same as in the spring and Toms' can be fooled into thinking they might get lucky if talked to that way.
Set up on fall Toms' just like spring toms and see what happens.
Discovered this by accident many years ago and love it.

The more dense the gobbler population is, the more competition and gobbling you will hear in the Fall/Winter. Ten years ago I could not deer hunt because I was always distracted by gobbling birds which always interest me more than waiting on a deer.
Our population is way down and I can't remember the last time I heard a Fall gobble in AR. I sure hope we get back to that.

I have heard gobbles in the spring, summer, and fall. Not sure I have heard one in January before.

The only time I have ever heard one gobble in the fall/winter was when my uncle shot a deer. The birds were already on roost, and a couple of them shock gobbled at it because they were so close.

Had a bunch of birds gobbling around me one time this fall. I started to hyperventilate but man it was awesome.
