I shot this bird yesterday at 8:45am. Called in the whole flock and shot a 7 1/2 pound hen. I just saw heads above a big log and I shot. Oh well, they are the best eating anyway. Used my BPS 12 gauge.

Thats the ones I would look for. Most guys look for the biggest birds in the fall. Which is the adult hen most of the time. Killing the adult hen might be detremental to her young. I always look for Jakes and Jennies in the fall unless I'm hunting for a longbeard. JMO
