My daughter has caught the photography bug and is having a blast. She is 18 and a freshman in college this year.
Last year she entered this picture in the photo contest and should have won best of show, but she entered it in the student division. There is no photoshop and the motorcycle was running about 160mph and she was panning with the lens.
She titled it "Wide Open"
This is the photo she entered this year
She Titled it "Beautiful Destruction. The Photo is of her friend Jessica (JDale as we call her)
Win a ribbon or not, I'm proud that she entered.
She takes the cameras every where she goes and even to concerts. She went to an All Star Weekend concert (I have no clue who they are or what they sing) and she thought it was funny when the band kept caller her a paparazzi because of her big camera and lens. She shot some awesome photographs of the band and entered one in a photo contest. My wife was looking at the bands home page and there was a ling to Radio Disney home page and my daughter photo was big and large on the home page. She was excited and so was I. Then the business man came back and said, "Wait, you own the rights to that photo, they can't just use it like that. They have to pay you, LOL" Well she gave up those rights in the fine print when she entered the contest. She didn't win, but that was a thrill. The winner was photos of people at the concert, not the band members.
