I have a friend who has done protecteaion detail for the Texas governors for over 20 years.  He  said GW Bush and family were great, friendly people.  He said Rick Perry is as country as they come, but he hides it somewhat in public.
He said Bush  was a class guy all the way around.

  Earlier in my career, one of the administrative traffic court judges use to step into the police room to say hello while we were waiting to testify.  His best friend was detailed with the Secret Service to the White House during the Clinton Admin and he would pass on stories ocasionally.  Mainly about Hillary.  Most of what was said I cannot share here.  I don't know how much was based in fact but they were entertaining.
