Got some range time in....

Decided to pull the muzzleloader and .308 and take them to the range and make sure they were all dialed in for deer season.
The first photo is the T/C Scout at 50 yards with a 240 gr. Hornaday sabot, and 90 grains of Jim Shockey's American Gold Powder.

The second one is my 7600 Remington .308 at 100 yards with 150 grain core lok shells.

I had one flyer with each rifles sight in, but these guns were shot with no scope adjustments. I just took them out of their cases, and shot. So to say I am pleased, would be an understatement. I credit the accuracy of the .308 to my buddy VAHUNTER. He put me on to Butches bore cleaner, and the results at the range are due largely to a thorough "deep clean" of the gun's barrel. That stuff ate away 20 years worth of lead and copper that the Hoppes just couldn't remove. I will never use anything but Butches again for my rifles. It is that good!

That should get the job done.  Now you just need to get your shotgun to hit as close to the bull-eye as your rifle.

How does it work for deep cleaning the smoothbore? Sounds like it would be good.

Looks good, Mike. Those Remington pumps are unbelievably accurate. I hunted with a Rem. 760 in 30-06 for years. It would/will drive nails. I don't deer hunt anymore, but i know first hand how nice they shoot. Mike

If you want to really see easy cleaning, try Wipe Out foam or Outers bore foam.  There's nothing better IMO.

im not sure i have shot a more accurate factory shell than them rem core locs,in a number of rifles.
