I am over thinking this!

This is my 40 yard pattern with Win. LB 3" #6. My only concern is whether or not #6 will kill a turkey if I misjudge the distance at 40 yards.

That pattern and load will do just fine. I wouldn't worry about miss judging as long as you aren't off by some massive amount.

Then simply start patterning 5 shot loads
Buy a rangefinder and use it to mark trees or bushes etc.
Do this after you set up and before he comes strutting in

That looks great. Im sure with that pattern it would kill even at 50yrds

 :OGturkeyhead: That is a dead bird at 40 yards. Get a range finder, I got one this year too, and don't shoot over 40. You will do fine. Good luck

Good pattern with the 6s. It'll kill em at 40 for sure.
