What do you plan on adding to your turkey hunting equipment this spring?

Need to add a new set of boots haven't decided which direction I want to go in ive always worn lacrosse rubber boots but I ware them out in about a year out here in Eastern Nc.

Look at the un insulated Chene gear rubber boots. I used to wear grange and they'd be worn out 3/4 way through the season. I've had my Chene gear ones for two years now and I wear them fishing, turkey hunting, coyote hunting, rabbit hunting, and deer hunting. I've put a lot of miles on them and probably would have had 3 or 4 more years in them if I didn't drive a nail right through the bottom of them the other day walking the farm.

This is another example of choosing footwear that matches the conditions someone hunts under...and in relation to one's budget. I personally have a distinct aversion to paying several hundred dollars for a pair of boots when a pair that's half that or less will do the job for where I mostly hunt.

As such, my "go to" hunting boots are the Irish Setter Vaprtech...and they suit me just fine 90% of the time. Where I mostly hunt, I don't have to worry at all about such things as "waterproofness". In addition, the cutting edges of the lava rock I do a lot of my hunting in will tear up a $400 pair of boots just as quickly as my $150 pair. ...And wearing anything that has rubber involved is going to last you roughly half a day here.

Now, granted, I have taken those Irish Setters to places where I ended up having wet feet most of the time, but in the debate I have about spending a few hundred dollars to get something for those conditions versus putting up with wet feet for a few days a year...well, the wet feet currently are winning that debate. Perhaps that will change at some point...but that noted aversion I have as stated above is currently holding steadfastly.

Oh and a new sumtoy 660 choke.

Oh yeah, and a new drake water fowl camo set.

Same here with the grange but man I bought a pair of the chene boots at the start of last turkey season and I tossed them months ago after the liner came loose and the rubber split in multiple spots. Decided to try the grubbs grange copy and they lasted maybe 2 months before the soles came off. Now I have some Muck grange copies that have been great so far. 🤞

Forgot where I saw it, but someone is making Nylon waders for temp use, like crossing creeks and such.  Light, easy to fold and carry, just slip em on over your boots and cross.  Not made for much walking, but could be the ticket.

two heavy duty construction trash bag could do the trick also... but you gotta be polite 🤣
