Have looked everywhere for an 870 Fieldmaster in the 20 gauge and finally found one but it has a 28 inch barrel. Wondering how much of a difference it will be hunting turkey compared to the 21 inch barrel. What are your opinions should I be set on only a 21 inch barrel ?
Thank you for your opinions !

I have 2 of the Remington 870's but in 12 gauge. One is the Fieldmaster and the other is an Express. I've had them for years and they both pattern and shoot great. The only difference is weight and maneuverability. The Fieldmaster has the longer barrel but both of them kill the same.

Gunbroker has plenty of the 870 Fieldmasters in the 20 gauge compacts with 21" barrel. Check that sight out. I have all of them, and while maybe not best for wingshooting, for turkey hunting - the 21" barrel is worlds better to tote through the woods as far as not catching every branch or vine you walk past.
