We all know that expression where a roosted bird is halfway dead... And we also know that sometimes it's far from the case...
But today for my fall season opener it was the case...
I roosted the birds yesterday and I got a nice « almost » text book hunt this morning.
A nice little jake that came curiously at 7-8 yards from me, my shotgun was on my laps... I got lucky and I got the bird.
Sun was up at 7:20 and at 7:40 it was over. I waited longer before sunrise than after sunrise,

My fall season is over since I can only take one bird in the fall where I live, and on friday the season's over.
That'll make me wait t'ill spring season
