Hey Guys - Pulled the trigger on a Benelli SBE3 20 gauge today, does anyone have recommendations on a choke?  I'll be running 7.5 x 9s or straight 9s for my load, debating between the IC .555 and .562 at the moment.  Thanks!

I would go with no tighter than a 562. And I would get a Sumtoy choke.

I just picked up the Indian Creek. 570 after doing a decent amount of digging on forums.  Most seem to report that there's not much difference in patterns between the IC .562 and .570.   I heard the Sumtoy produces some deadly patters in both constrictions but that there is a more substantial difference between them than with the IC chokes.  Obviously every combo can produce different results but, it seems to be a pretty firm consensus that the .555 might be a little tight.

Call William at Sumtoy and get you a 562, my M2 likes it.

Indian creek 562 does the best in mine. 555 is awesome but the pattern is too tight at 15 yards. I tried a Sumtoy but for some reason the IC does better in my Benelli. The Sumtoy works great in other guns.

This is using #8 and #9 tss with my firing cones lengthened.

.570 is popular.  A lot of folks consider the .555 too tight.  So maybe the .562 is about right, certainly it will be pretty close to what you want.  JEBS I think makes a .565.

My M2 likes the sumtoy .570 with apex 9's .

Have an IC in 570 and a Sumtoy in .562. The Sumtoy produces a nicer pattern but the IC has less felt recoil.

I would like to try a IC in 562 to compare patterns between it and the Sumtoy 562.

I have a Weatherby SA459 in 20 gauge with a Sumtoy choke.  Tried the Indian Creek but didn't, give as good of a pattern as the Sumtoy.  Shooting Apex 3" #9's with this pattern at 38 yards.  Hope the photo comes out OK.

I bought a SBE 28 and tried 4 chokes( Jebs, IC, Patternmaster and Kicks). IC was the most consistent, I would hunt them all. I also tried a Sumtoy .562 in my Stoeger 20 gauge and never changed the choke because it shot spectacular. No wrong choices, just more things to consider. Good luck, you will love it. Z

Already been said, but I definitely have seen the best out of mine with either IC 570 or Sumtoy 562.  .555 seemed too tight and hot.
