1. Personal preference.  I prefer 20 - .410.

4. My concern is comfort over camo brand

7. Rubber if wet.  Comfort is primary...
8. Mouth call, trumpet and pot call

10. Only swamps and fields here
11.  I don't care for fanning or reaping, for me

15. I don't fall hunt. 

My answers are for what I prefer, I don't pay much attention to what others do.  Not saying that I don't like how others hunt, I tend to keep those opinions to myself.

I realize I haven't answered this myself, so here it goes!!

Turkey Quiz 2023 Off Season

1) 12 gauge, 20 gauge or bow? 20 Gauge
2) Lead, TSS, or arrow? TSS
3) Sit and wait? Or Mobile hunting? Mainly Mobile hunting, but I don't mind parking for anywhere around 1-3 hours on occasion.
4) Mossy Oak or Real Tree? Other? Mossy Oak and Sitka, also got some Cabelas Red Head leafy top camo.
5) Sun up to 9am? 9am-Noon? Or all day? I wish I could say all day but it's really more of a sun up to 2/3pm then lunch and then get out to roost. I'll get there one day!!
6) Decoys? Or no Decoys? I carry a cheap foam Jake in my vest, I am yet to shoot over a decoy.
7) Rubber Boots or Leather Boots? Both, leaned more on my Crispis this past season.
Mouth call? Pot call? Or Box call? Predominantly mouth call and pot call.
What region do you favor more?
9) Western birds or Eastern? My heart lies with Eastern, but I definitely have to get my western fix in every season. I'm going to say Eastern for my final answer though.

13) Shots past 40ish yards, Yes or No? Feel the most comfortable around 25-35 yards. 40 is the limit with a few yards there for potential error. (42,43,45 yards). So I suppose my answer is Yes.
14) Roost shooting? Yes or No? No.
15) Fall hunting scenario, shooting a Hen or poult, Yes or No? I want to say yes but I feel my guilt wouldn't allow it. In a healthy population it probably wouldn't hurt to take a poult. Maybe a lone hen. Hen with a brood is a proven effective breeder and I would not shoot. Alright here's where I'm at after thinking about it... it's one of those things where you get a pass your first time. Just getting your Fall Turkey. After that, no hens, maybe a poult from a good size flock or a Jake/Tom.
