I was fortunate enough to have Just  harvested a tom with multiple spurs on each leg. How should I measure the spurs? I'm assuming just measure each one and add up the totals but I wanted to run this by one of you who might know better. Thanks in advance.

Have you sent anything to the NWTF record site? I know you add the beards, but I do not remember them mentioning multiple spurs in their instructions.

I have no idea either.   I'm here for the pictures.   Hint hint.

I want to see that myself.

The Palawan Peacock Pheasant has double spurs, but they're the only bird I know of that does.  They're an absolutely beautiful bird.  Small, but pretty.

Luck counts, good or bad.

Here it is. The other leg had a scale that looks like it wanted to be a spur, but not significant enough to measure.

Very rare in turkeys. Out of 5-6 hundred toms raised we had 1 with double spurs. Much more common in chickens.

pretty cool!  congrats.  add em up!  NWTF has a calculator on there website and 1/16 conversion chart.

Awesome. I shot one a number of years ago but not quite as nice.

Not that I will ever get one LOL! Did anyone fine out the official way to score bird with multiple spurs? I could find nothing on internet regarding it.

I would imagine it would be like antler measurements. Wether common based or not?
