Help with Ithaca 16 gauge Model 37-R 1940

Can anybody tell me the worth of this gun?  I'm going to sell it soon and am trying to find out it's relative value in the current market?  Thanks!!

They're practically worthless. Send it to me and I'll use it for a paperweight so you won't have to lose your tail on it trying to find someone to give it to. 

Some of those guns are worth a pretty penny depending on condition. Not sure about that particular vintage though. Some say being a 16 ga is less desirable but that's not what I've always found. Find a bird Hunter and you'll get the most from it.

Looking at Gun Broker, there is one going for $150, and one for $325...  Both are corn-cob forends and non-vented ribs...

This depends entirely on the gun to be honest. There are some vintage guns that it detracts value for reasons unknown to me. Having said that, a lot of guys simply aren't interested due to availability of shells at their local sporting goods store. There are other models however (browning sweet 16) that see an increase due to lower numbers and harder to find. The biggest factors that play into the value of the Ithaca 37's is age and condition.

16 gauge model 37-R modified choke patent 1849982 serial 75996 which I understand to be 1948.
