This is my pattern at 20 yards. .585 choke with apex tss 9s.  I feel this 20 yard pattern is too tight. But would like to tighten up my 40 alittle.  If I got with a tighter choke it will just make that 20 yard pattern even tighter correct?  Thoughts

Over under is really only way.....
Tighter tighter choke, tighter 40, the 20 will be tighter too
Looser choke. Both will open up

I'd hunt them patterns. And if he got to 20 or in I'm just dropping point of aim lower in the neck to a spot less twitchy than his head.

Not sure I have a choice now. Seasons on next week

I agree with chester, I'd hunt with those patterns all day and just adjust point of aim if he's any closer

No bird is getting out of that 40 alive, looks great to me

I think you could hit a bird at 20 yards with a rifle that threw a softball sized bullet.  That 20 will hunt fine, just aim a wee bit lower/pick your timing of your shot.  I would be very happy with that combo.

Awesome patterns and good luck

Sometimes, if you go with a tighter choke, you can "blow" your pattern, which is not a bad thing.  More open @20 and 40.
