GobbleNut

#15
My mental acuity is so keen that such things as sun direction rarely come into play.  My thought processes are so rudimentary that, other than saying to myself,..,"Don't sit in direct sunlight where the durn gobbler is gonna see you, you dumbas*", I pretty much just go "eenymeenyminymo, this looks like a good place to try to call him to" and let 'er rip.

Unlike a few other folks around here apparently, I will readily admit that I have not killed every turkey I have encountered,...and would probably quit turkey hunting if I did.  Fortunately, I have killed just enough of them to keep me going at it,...and looking forward to each new day chasing them.

...Now leave me alone while I look for a nice sunny spot so I can be warm while I wait for a gobbler to show up!  It's pretty durn cold up here at 9,000 ft. where I am sitting!  ;D :angel9:

As a general rule I try not to face directly into the sun, but I don't go out of my way to stay out of the sun. I actually prefer facing north or south if I can. I'm like GobbleNut, having the sun shining on you warming you up on a frosty morning is pretty nice. It's especially nice later in the morning when it's nap time! There probably isn't anything more relaxing than taking a nap in the turkey woods with the sun shining on you!    :happy0064: :happy0064:
