Cleaning up, ready for the range

Cleaned up all the guns, just now need to get them to the range. Tore them down and cleaned them out good, shinned up the barrel on each one.

I know the 10g is off, dropped it shedding my vest with a turkey in it after a long walk and finally made it back to the truck. Was so happy to make it to the truck I forgot I even had a gun...Middle of season and just grabbed a different gun instead of going to the range to sight it in again.

The boys 20g is shooting a tad to the right, needs to be touched up just a tad.

The 410 is sporting a new Carlson choke and needs to be checked and centered. It I believe, was knocked off unknown to me as I know it was shooting to the right after season. I didn't have it all season, out on loan.

Then I will run the bore snakes again and wait. Looks like this year my first hunt won't be until 4/8. Very envious to you Southern guys whom will have been hunting for a month by then. Had to set the early travel out this year. Hopefully next year I can roll early.

All you other late starters ready? Dialed in and cleaned up, ready to roll?

It's getting close for all of us out of "The South".

Nice collection - You are well armed. Probably just a shot or two to dial it all back in and you will be ready to roll.

Good luck with the tweaking. I have used exactly one shell to "sight in" the same old 870 for many years now. Luckily the fiber optic sight has never moved. It's actually kind of shocking and has become a point of pride since I tapped and mounted it myself and I'm certainly no gunsmith. So, every time I think I want to upgrade and buy a new turkey gun I always just stick with the old reliable thing and spend my $ on another couple of turkey calls I really don't need instead. But I always get a little excited to shoot that one round to see if the perfect track record of no adjustments continues.

ZOBO I know what you mean. I put on the Gobble Stopper? On that 10g and used it for years, it is still on there. It is missing one of the optics in the rear site but it's still there.

Problem is my eyes are not helping me and I am too stubborn to go and get glasses/contacts. I can't focus on the site and the turkey. I can see one, but not the other.

The red dots fix that issue real check.....until you drop the gun.

I still got to tweak the new Mossberg SA-20. It`s a tad high. This reflex sight deal is nice but scopes seem to be a lot easier for me to sight in because of the positive clicks. The 835 is golden she sports a nikon turkey plex.
Hopefully i`ll have a nice day this week to get dialed in. Our season does not open here till may. I might go south to to my daughters place nice month and give it a try. Good luck and safe hunting guys

Sighted my 835 and SA20 this past weekend. Just a couple clicks on each. Did change the batteries out in the FF3, and didn't have to cuss once. Ready and waiting!
