HI All-

I just got an Affinity 3 Turkey in 20 Gauge. Instead of having a sling stud in the rear like every other gun out there, it has these strange sling loops built into the buttstock where you need to weave the sling around. Has anyone found a decent sling that works well with this gun?

Thank You!

I also dislike this feature. Benelli does the same. Almost sent my Benelli back due to it. I figure I pay 2k for a gun and can't hardly find a sling for it. Lesson learned. And yes...I realize I can find one, it wasn't easy. But it also had a piss poor POI. For 2k it should at least shoot straight. So I got off target. My bad. But had to.  :TooFunny:

Putting a sling attachment on the gun is simple and really easy and mine shoots awesome ... One of the best shotguns I've ever owned in a 20 ga. the Franchi Affinity

I'd prefer the loop versus under. You can mount the shotgun to your chest where it lays flat & you can be hands free. Under just makes the gun flop around in less than ideal positions. When you get a good sling I think you may learn to like it better. A good slide adjustment is critical as well.

I wish shotgun companies would just start putting in qd swivel holes instead.

Anything blue force gear would last you beyond a lifetime of rough use. Dig through their attachments & make it however you want. The u-loops would work great. Everything blueforce is going to be way better than anything you'll find in most big hunting departments.

If I had that shotgun, I'd get a custom vickers, without the padding, & choose whatever attachment method you favor. The slides on all of them glide easily even under pressure.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

So what sling did you get?

Mine has a slogan. I will probably never take it off. Love these slings on all my guns.

King Cobra

I own a Affinity 3 Turkey gun with the pistol grip. I did not like the sling setup also so I researched and ended up purchasing a pack of Uncle Mike's swivel studs. I purchased a two pack that contained a 1/2 inch  and 3/4 inch stud. The area on the stock where you drill a hole is somewhat re-enforced so you get good surface area contact with screw into stock. I believe I ended up using the 1/2 inch screw it worked out really well. I ended up purchasing a claw sling for it. Good luck

Thanks to all who share this great passion and the wealth of knowledge you bring to this board.

Brillo

I put an Allen Shocker on mine.  Took off the bottom standard hdwe and connected direct to post.  Works great and has slots for diaphragm calls.

My friend gave me one after hearing all my moaning about it..it's a Vero Vellini.

The way I have mine setup is by using a claw sling and the Magpul paraclip sling attachment and cost around 10 dollars  for that part... again it's really simple to do. You can take the sling off in just a matter of seconds, the sling does not have to be permanently attached to the gun ... If you want to see pictures .. PM me your Cell number.

Through the stock thingy works just fine. Get a claw sling and don't worry about it.

If you must have it in the bottom, drill a hole and place an anchor swivel. Go deep.
