Thank you for all the kind words. I made the hen boxes and did the artwork. Normally, I only do a little wood burning; but after seeing some of the wood burning on several callers others have shown on here, I realized I needed to improve my wood burning skills. My painting has significant room for improvement, too, but I'm pleased with my first attempts.

Macassar ebony over mahogany and Macassar ebony over black limba Turpin style hen boxes. This was the first time I have worked with black limba, and it makes a fine turkey caller....
