How do you condition a plain alumimum call and what do you use?  I have an aluminum pot call but i really cant get it to make good sounds.

Alcohol Wipes.... You can get them at any place that sells diabetic supplies.  Walmart, your local pharmacy, etc....

doepee

anodized alum. you use alcohol wipes, I believe that you use scotchbrite or a fine grit sandpaper on regular alum.. I dont have nothing but anodized myself...

I don't use the plain (silver) aluminum anymore.  I do have an older plain aluminum call that I made years ago.  When I pull it off the shelf to play, I end up using scotchbrite or 320 grit sandpaper.  I would have to agree with doepee on this one.
Lights Out custom calls - what they're dying to hear!

On plain alum. I use emery paper and or the brown scotchbrite pad. On anodized alum. use a alcohol pad. Most importantly keep your striker tip clean.

I sand them both with a 220 grit sand paper. you got to sand circles and not lines.
