Do most of you use anything special to clean your chokes? Also, how often do you clean them and what is the process?

Thank you!

Interested in this process as well.

I clean the inside of the choke just like the barrel. I clean the outside, lube and install.

Same here. If the ports get dirty or clogged, I use a solvent soaked brush and Q-tips or one of the little fire channel brushes for muzzleloaders and clean em out....

Clean my choke when I clean my gun, it get removed and scrubbed with a toothbrush and solvent. Reinstalled and an oil patch run through barrel and choke.

Wire brush.   I know some of our target stuff we take a pick and run around the steps.

I've got a little different take on chokes with steps and grooves in them: I clean them after every shot as I'm looking for consistency. It's amazing how fouled (fowled) they get after one shot!  :camohat:
