Just wondering if anyone has tried any of the various brands of tss through a regular full choke. If so what was the set up and howd it look. Thank you

This past weekend my buddy and me patterned our guns. He has a 12 Gauge Remington 870 that he ran some Federal 3" #9 through with the full factory choke. It is definitely capable at 40 yards and in but if you are going to spend the money on TSS you should just spend the money and get an aftermarket choke to get the most out of it. Even if it is a Primos tightwad or a  Kicks in my opinion you will get better patterns then with the factory full.

He shot some Winchester 3" #5 lead first then the TSS. There definitely was a noticeable difference between the two. But  definitely was not overly impressive. This is his first year turkey hunting so that is the only choke he had on hand. After seeing my patterns with my Apex and an Indian Creek Choke he ordered an Indian Creek while we were still on the range.

I hunt with an older 20ga single shot that is barely xfull fixed choke, it will pattern 1.5 to 1 5/8 oz tss farther than I would shoot one

not being as tightly choked as a turkey choke, it patterns #8 tss better than #9's

if your gun is a fixed full, shoot a couple and see what it does,
if it's screw in, depending what type of pattern your after the Primos already mentioned, Carlson or Truloc are a small investment compared to the price of TSS
