Try this again. Tried to edit the pic in the 1st post and seems it got lost in cyberspace. Only a blank white screen for me. Any who, have some hens that have nosing around the property off and on for about a month eating a sunflower thistle mix fallen from the bird feeder.

Been putting some corn out over the last couple weeks but it keeps getting covered in snow. Got a fresh 6" yesterday and last night. Went out this mourn and stomped the snow down and threw out some more corn. I think they found it.

The winter weather has been brutal in this area. Frigid temps, deep snow, and a pathetic mast crop last fall has me worried for the excellent hatch we appeared to have this spring. The snow is so deep they have to fly and tree hop to thier destination.

These gals are spooky as heck. Any movent from inside the cabin sends them flying off.

Tail Feathers

I'm sure a free meal in that weather will help keep 'em alive.  Your work will be rewarded when they have a successful nest this spring.
Love to hunt the King of Spring!

How far north do you live? I've often wondered about how turkeys survive in severe winter weather up north.
