Anyone shooting 3" LB 5's in their 870?

Yes sir. Pretty good, Carlsons long beard choke. Also shoot well with Indian Creek .665. My barrel is 21. Good luck...

I also shoot that load in my 870 with the carlsons choke with great results. There has been a lot of discussion with the longbeards producing inconsistent patterns fortunately I have not experienced that.

I shoot that load in my 20ga 870 with an old truglo gobble stopper. It's shoots well.

Also shoot 3-1/2 LB 5s in my 12ga 870 with a kicks .665 and it shoots reliably as well.

I have some in 12ga in 2-3/4 that have added some extra range onto some of my older guns with fixed full chokes. Not sure if they still sell that load though.
