These gals been showing up off and on for a couple weeks. Got some corn out there but it keep getting covered in snow. Went out this mourn after a fresh 6inches over about 2.5'. Stomped around and threw some more out. Think they at finally found it. They had been hitting seeds 8n the ground from the bird feeder.

It's been brutal around these parts this winter. Extreme cold, deep snow, and a pathetic mast crop this year has me a little worried about the excellent hatch we had this spring. Looks like they filled up on corn and have now moved to the sunflower and thistle from the bird feeder. Snow is so deep the have to fly and tree hop to thier destination.

I'm trying to let them stay as long as I can but the dogs are starting to bug me for a bathroom break.
