If you had a friend headed to the convention, what would be one call you'd ask him to pick up for you? Any kind, any surface. I'm thinking a Busters persimmon slate.

id probably get him to pick me up another turpin trumpet, possibly an ebony hen box from him as well. simply out of want , not need. I have enough calls, im kind over that phase to be honest. If its not a call im adding to a specific collection, "vintage stuff" i dont buy much anymore.

Most of your top builders more than likely have already sold most everything they had by Thursday or at least by Friday ..  I would look for walnut poplar, walnut cedar, bloodwood black limba box .. In pot calls good ceramic , crystal, or glass pot call surface ... Good luck hopefully you will get a killer call from someone ...
