Has anyone used or do you have any experience with the Small Batch branch of the Apex ammunition line?  It features TSS loaded in 10's which I would assume would be the same as loading and shooting 5s in lead.  Or at least close to it.  I am shooting a 20 gauge as well as my son.

I am sure it is lethal and I would like to try a box, just checking to see if anyone has any experience shooting 10s.

And I am curious how far it can go in regards to small shot size.  Eventually they will be selling TSS sand size shot or Invisible shot.  6,000 pellet count.

I seem to remember hal talking about it being good to 52 yds if leaving at 1100 fps.  Do not quote me on it.

I shot 9.5s for a while, when I started that was all that hal had, they worked great, I do not shoot long distance and did not notice any difference when switching to 9s.

Not sure what the small batch is, lighter load I assume?  At reasonable distance it will perform I am sure, most guys use 10s for the 410 to up pellet count.  9s seem to be the best shot size for typical loads.

I loaded my own ( 1 5/8 oz) in 20 guage with 10s. They have worked great so far.

I used 10s in my improved cylinder barrel of a 28 ga sxs last season.  It was a lighter load from Hal, 1 1/8 ounce.  Killed two birds stone dead inside of 25 yards.  That particular load throws a nice, even pattern for 25 yards and in.  I haven't tried it out of the tighter choke in the other barrel.  I use 9.5s out of it and a heavier load of 1.5 ounces.

I found some APEX 9s at Macks PW and purchased two boxes as well as a box of the Ninjas.  Again, I am shooting a 20 gauge.

For now, we will be good.  The tens will have to wait...

I load my own shells and 10's are great if you don't plan on shooting much farther than 50-55 yards. Depending if shooting through anything of course.  10's within 45 yards is the most devastating thing one can shoot IMO. anywhere from 400-420 pellets per ounce has your standard 1 5/8 ounce 20 GA load pushing 650 pellets conservatively.
