Oversized Rain Jacket or Poncho?

I am thinking about buying either a lightweight oversized rain jacket or a poncho to keep in my turkey vest on days it looks like it's going threaten rain. Then pull it out and put it on over me with my vest still on when it does.
For those that do this, what do you use?
Pros/cons to each?
Any I should look at? Any I should stay away from?

I use a poncho. I can put it on quick and it covers my vest and most of my legs when sitting and I can slide my gun under it. I also carry one of those small tree umbrellas to keep the rain off my head. Regardless, I still get wet to some degree. If you really want to stay dry go with a blind but that cuts out your mobility

Poncho and i also carry one of those big trash bags folded up for emergencies

A mil surplus poncho here.  It covers me, my vest and most of my gun when sitting in the gobbler lounger. Weighs about 3 lbs but it's worth it to stay dry on rain days.

I have a $20 plus light weight woodland camo poncho, fits in a one gallon zip lock bag and rides in my turkey vest. It's saved me from a wet a** more than once.

FYI - I just bought a new rain coat from frog toggs, as a close out regularly $120.00 now $39.95 while they last. I bought a bigger size to go over coats or vest. Great looking and feeling jacket. It has two huge interior pockets and two chest pockets with zippers.
