Help me find a good custon pot call

I been hunting turkeys for 25 years and have used mostly store bought calls. I few years back A friend  give me a custom call glass over slate with our picture in there. It was a great gift ,but after a year the glass few out . I sent it back to the maker and he repaired it. Now the glue that hold the slate in has failed. The maker no longer makes calls and i cant figure out a way to remove the glass to repair the slate. This bring me to today . I like to invest in a few good pot calls. Cabelas  Had a woodhaven call on sale for $35 witch discount  . I waiting on that one to arrive . It crystal over walnut . I would like to get a good slate and maybe try Aluminium call. I am ready to get something that will last a life time. I have been doing some looking around at custom calls. honestly I am overwhelmed with how many there is out there. My problem is I am not up on the names off good makers.  Any one have a list of 4-5 makers that they feel stand above the others?

This is in no order, but look at Larry Buster Halford, Clay Townsend or Mac - Mark Cornelius all of these pot call builders are on facebook...

Larry "Buster" Halford, Mark "Footballer" Cunningham, Travis Wyatt, and Larry Anderson calls are my favorites. I also recommend picking up a Sneed pot or two and a Dawkins stoned aluminum. I also highly recommend trying out a couple JLH strikers while your at it.

One thing to try as far as repairing the call you have, put the call in the microwave and then use something you can push through one of the sound holes on the back to try to push the glass out. A lot of those glues that break down and fail like what's happening on your call will soften in the microwave to where you can push the soundboard and calling surface out.

As far as a new call, lots of great builders but I sure have loved toting a few new Buster Halfords I got this season. I like Buster, Clay Townsend, Jack Mincey, Jimmy Schaeffer, Lon Trice, Stumpy. As far as slates specifically, Buster and Mincey, but I love Cane Creek's slates as well.
