Conditioning Strikers

What do you all use to condition your strikers and how often do you do it?

Green scotch brite primarily.  No exact tie frame but regularly, particularly for hard surface calls, lack of prep will get some high pitch squeaky sounds and slippage for me.

I use the purple/maroon color scotch brite. I tend to condition mine a lot when running a glass or crystal, I like having a clean striker tip. I think it grips better

220 grit and green scotch brite.

Use Scotchbrite or sandpaper, but then I want you to go an extra step. Take your striker and press down hard on a piece of glass or someone else's truck window. Rub it vigorously all over the head of the striker. By burnishing the striker, it lasts a lot longer

I use maroon ( green will work too ), carry it in my pouch. Always condition the tips before each hunt.

Maroon or green Scotch Brite.  I bought a box of maroon and cut squares off as I need them.
