Just wanted to give a shot out to John Haines for sending me this superb striker . It is one of his orion HD strikers and it is mighty fine - may be one of the best I have picked up.
Finish is tops and super smooth to the touch. The striker has a nice heft when you pick it up but perfectly balanced in the hand
Best of all it runs very consistently and adds a good amount of rasp to the call
John is a great guy to deal with too . ..give him a shout if you are looking for a new striker to add

I had my finger on the trigger on one of those recently.  May have to pull it.

They are nice strikers for sure, mine is a black one and plays real nice. As stated above he is a very nice guy to deal with.

Thank you for the kind words.  All I know is my strikers have helped kill birds and several guys who have bought 1 them bought more.  I call the HD laminate strikers "Orion" and I also turn them in other hardwoods.  Here is another picture of that striker and it's brother.  Thanks for your support!!
