New lathe.

I got a new lathe, ive never used one before and I wanna make strikers. My first line of work is an attempt to turn a pen. I got 3 pen kits. I got all the tools so im ready, already glued the blanks. WIsh me luck!

BE CAREFUL always remember it is a machine and it doesn't care if you have fingers or knuckles at all!
Are you turning between centers? I would suggest on your strikers to take your extar hand, the one without the chisel in it....and apply light pressure against the backside of the striker as it gets smaller in diameter, have very sharp chisels and wear a dust mask...let's see those pens!!!!!!
