To be honest I'm not a huge fan of acrylic strikers but this one really does sound good on this thin slate call and will be used this spring. I didn't try to reinvent the wheel here just wanted a way to use these bands. Real happy with the end result. I also believe this type of striker works best on the thin pot slates than the normal size pots we all use these days. The call I'm running it on is only a half inch thick.
