Alright guys, this is it. I'm giving it my all for the final weekend of spring gobbler.
The birds are ignoring calls, and are very spooky. Gonna setup tommorow on the corner of a field, and try to hammer one as they cross the field. If this doesn't work, we're gonna hunt the 3 big toms behind my buddies hose over the holiday weekend. I really hate hunting late season high pressured birds. Turkey hunting has really taken off in NH, and my biggest goal for next season is to get some better hunting grounds. I have a farm that is posted, but I believe the farmer will let me hunt it next spring.
To all of the widowmakers that are done, here's to wishing you a safe and enjoyable Memorial Day weekend!

Sent you a PM Mike, try it, it will work at this time of year. Be patient and don't get antsy it may take him an hour or two to come 300 yards?

Not to put pressure on you......but to put pressure on you..lol

Look at it this way.......Its 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th inning in the World Series...(Atlanta beating Boston) ...and you're up to bat...a hit would win the game and an "MVP" title  and "Clutch Player of the Week" for you

Maybe a stretch but any mature bird would put the team in a good respectable spot based on what I've seen...I think your approach is right in that you're gonna have to "bushwhack"...it could happen though buddy and I for one appreciate you putting forth the effort this late in the season.

and don't hold back....pull out the stops....gobbler decoy or "fannin" might be in order

The best of luck to you!!!

:hello99: Someone clue me in on this trick.
I know what I'm going to try, but I'm open to suggestions. Heck I would buy a squeeling hen call if I thought it would work.  ;D
