Hey there,
I'm a lifelong hunter and fisherman
30 years ago I was fortunate to get "stranded" in Alabama in April. I had never seen a turkey in the wild before, but as it worked out, I was able to hunt nearly every day. I ruined plenty of opportunities, but by months end, I'd harvested 2 longbeards and a jake.
After that, my work schedule stopped me from chasing turkeys in the springtime. I've always longed for getting back into the sport. I've practiced on the many calls I've collected over that time.
This year I was able to put work behind me and I'M GOING TURKEY HUNTING.
I have a little 13' trailer that I hunt quail from in the desert. In mid March I'm headed back to Alabama with it, to pick up where I left off. I'm planning on hunting multiple good turkey states on my way back west. No time limits other than season dates.
I'd like recommendations from any of you as to areas or states to check out.
Thanks! This is a great website with tons of info!
