Federal TSS question

I wanted to try out the Federal 3" 12 gauge TSS shells this year. So, I went out and bought a few boxes for pattern testing and hopefully hunting with. However, I noticed that they rattle a bit. Is this normal?

I have heard that too. My suggestion is use the ones that rattle to pattern, not hunt. I don't think they all rattle...good luck.

Update, I just checked a box of my Federal TSS, it does rattle a little. Just think they leave a small space in their shell. Thanks...
