Turkey Predator Down

Turkey population is down where I hunt. I have seen a couple of gangs but nowhere like the past. Hunting pressure is up both human and animal. Been killing a lot of possums and crows that prey on nests.

But run into another predator that has been flying under the radar. Bobcats, I have seen several on trail cams. Knew I would eventually run into one and while I was deer hunting a doe came running out the thicket right at dusk. Just knew that buck I was after would be running right behind her but no this bobcat was right on her heels. Doe took off down the field and the cat was parallel to her and a bit behind. As the cat turned toward her he opened up broadside and I touched off a shot at 70-80 yards.

Not only do these cats eat deer they play havic on turkeys. Anyway thought I would share this story and pic. It was a very exciting hunt and I enjoyed it more than if it had been a deer. I have also posted this on a Predator forum so some might have seen it already as I do hunt predators in winter. About 25lbs, I wish I had better pictures but it was cold and windy and I had no help.

What's the name of the Predator forum? I cant see your pics for some reason? Glad you got it. I drew a bobcat tag this year in my state and been trying to call one in all season.
