Hey Guys,
I've been a tactical tat'r kickstand vest guy for years. Recently I have set out to find a better option. The vest just gets too hot in South Georgia heat. I'm going to Nebraska this year to hunt and was considering a backpack system that would hold my gun and organize my gear needed for the trip and then tote a gobbler lounger chair. My problem with this is the chair hangs from my one shoulder and can get in the way when running and gunning. What set ups are you guys running that keeps your hands free and your gear out of the way when moving through terrain?
Thanks LW

Check out Badlands back packs. They have several in different sizes. Know some that like the monster pack for turkey. I have one of the small day packs. The name of it has currently left me. I like it though.

If you want a pack to hold your gun but still be immediately available without taking the pack off look up the kifaru gun bearer compatible with any pack that has a waist belt.

If heat is one of your main concerns I don't know that a pack is going to help, or at least they tend to be fairly hot against the back in hot weather. Anyhow, here's a thread from a month or so ago of the daypack rig I run. It works really well for me. Also some other great ideas for what other folks are running. The satchel and seat idea that some of the guys mention might be good if heat is a key issue.

Has anyone tried the tensing predator pack that holds your gun and has a kickstand seat?

I run & gun over big country here in Idaho and I love my Eberlestock mini-me. Small, lightweight. You can use a bladder system and a scabbard for your long gun. Big bonus is the hidden bird bag. While they do not mention it in their marketing, I can confirm it will fit a gobbler. This is the best setup I've found and really enjoy it.

I have a Mini Me sitting in my closet I could be talked into getting rid of.  I ended up going with the Bandit.   Eberlestock makes some nice packs.
