Sherrell, I used to miss the mountains something awful after elk season. Now I miss the midwest...at least the people...sometimes. I'm not sure how I would take moving back to the flat land.
I've got until the 31st. I'm trying to work out a 3 day weekend here in CO even if half of it is to assist someone else in a place I can't hunt (that is pending the results of yesterday). The last weekend of the month will be a four day hunt to close out the season. I hope to close it out half as good as last year's close.
After its over, I hope to actually spend time on a taxidermy project, but that won't burn up much time. I'll also fish with the kids and prepare for archery season (elk and deer). Isaac turned 12 today and just found out tha the drew his first either sex elk tag for the 1st rifle season, so there will be plenty of preparation for that tag as well as a private land cow tag for him.
