You killed a cat? Just kidding with you. He will be back. Change locations and calls. I have messed up on birds and killed them 50 yards from where I messed up the next day.

Agree , he may be in different location , but he will be close were he still feels safe roosting.

They will develop "learned behaviors" but he'll come back. You might have to try something out of the ordinary but he's still killable. I've gotta head up this weekend to help my nephew try to get a bird he's been playing chess with for the past week and a half. If he's been educated already, and I'm certain he has, it'll be difficult but still possible.

If you missed clean he will be back. If 1 pellet went through his gut he will be wildcat food.

One vote for the latter. I don't think we "miss" as many as we think, especially when we find feathers. That said, I've killed them with previous gunshot wounds, but I suspect many more don't recover. I hope the OP's turkey is an exception.

Assuming you cleanly missed him, he will be "out there" somewhere.  Will he be killable with tactics similar to those used the first time around?  Probably not,...but it depends on the turkey, how old he is, and what "life experiences" he has had.  :)
