What would happen?

Forgive my ignorance, but what would happen if Federal would load their TSS rounds with a resin similar to what Winchester does with the longbeard XR?  Or vice versa.  I would agree it's probably not needed but was just curious of others thoughts.  Would the patterns hold together beyond the point where the energy needed to cleanly kill is lacking?  Just thoughts on a rainy, quarantine day.

Wouldn't accomplish a thing. LBs pattern so well (or at least they used to) because the resin keeps the lead pellets perfectly round. Round pellets stay in the pattern much better than flattened or dimpled ones do. TSS does not deform, so there is no need for resin to keep them round. There is a common misconception out there that somehow the resin in LBs "glue" the shot together but that is untrue. It completely shatters upon ignition (at least it is supposed to) and becomes a super fine grained buffer.
