I found some older post about the gun being over priced just wondering if anyone's opinion has changed the last couple years about the gun. I'm looking to add a nice 20 gauge price isn't a hold back but getting something now is. I have an sx3 cantilever turkey already but want a top 20 gauge dedicated just to turkey. Must be camo and have no longer than 24 inch barrel I would actually prefer a 22 or so something easier to conceal in the woods

No benefit and a lot more money than just the regular gun! Just Get the regular M2

I agree on the M2. 20 is camo
It's all I use for turkey. So far no problems except this year fish N game closed it  down right after quote was done

noisy box call that seems to sound like a flock of juvenile hens pecking their way through a wheat field

The biggest problem I'm finding is getting something here to me. I found the performance shop one in stock I could probably have by the end of the week that's why I was asking

I wouldn't say they are bad but I think they are over priced and from what I have seen
And read review wise they don't really outperform if I was going to spend almost $3,000
I would hope for better results I know several shell manufacturers that don't suggest having your
Forcing cone lengthened I have my own edition to the performance shop and I'm at $1600 that's gun
Having it dipped/drilled and tapped Burris fast fire and a quality choke

I hunt with a performance shop M2.  I have read the earlier threads on folks thinking it is over priced and such.  My opinion is that the work done by RR is good ie: forcing cone lengthened, trigger work and the testing of his choke tube and such.  Just my .02 cents as the gun patters well with suggested load and with other loads that I have tested.  If you can find one I would buy it.  I mean no disrespect to others but I am very happy with mine.

Thank you I've found em for 2300  but that's a lot still. The Franchi elite looks nice but by time done w all of that it's back around 14-16 after scope rail and choke all that nice stuff.

Ifn you have the money and it's what you want then get it!!! Flip side...buy the stock M2 and have quite a bit of money left over for ammo, perhaps a Burris FF3 (that you don't have to take off to install a new battery) instead of the FF2 that's on it ,and a slew of choke tubes. In the end, I think it's a crapshoot that the performance shop edition will shoot any better than a stock M2.
