I got a M2 20ga in OK shape it has APG camo and a 26" barrel. I'm going to send it to Rob Roberts for a drill and tap for my Leupold Delta point. While it is there do I need to port it? Forcing cone work? Trigger work? I still plan to use it for back up on doves my 20 ga Córdoba will remain #1 any suggestion appreciated. :turkey2:

I would not port at all, shotgun is already loud enough. If your shooting TSS no need to lengthen forcing cones.  Trigger job would be a plus. Hope all works out great for you.

Agree, a red dot and trigger work is all you need.

I would only maybe do a trigger job. My Benelli M2 has a good trigger so I only had mine dipped and cerekoted . Put a scope on it and a leather sling from moonshine and its done. My Ssx was done the same way.

drill and tap for a mount.  Put a choke in it and spend the other money of shells and gas to hunt.  :z-twocents:

Save money on trigger job and get a Taran tactical trigger spring.  Took five minutes to install and made a big difference.

And send it to Carolina hydro for the drill and tap they also do trigger jobs but he can't get the parts as of last week Tad will take way better care of you and your gun will be back in no time

Send it to Sumtoy  and get him to drill and tap. I recommend one of his bases if it fits the Leupold footprint. Get the Taran tactical springs like kwild835 said. Much cheaper option.

I picked up an average of 30 pellets after I had Rob do my cone, but as you know not all guns will respond the same. My vote would be drill and tap,and do the cone. My trigger is already good but maybe the Taran trigger spring is something for ME to think about.

I'm sending my M2 to comp n choke to get barrel cut down and threaded.
