I think I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on buying this decoy.

I own several DSD's, including the full strutter. I love the strutter, but think it is too big and intimidating at times. I'm thinking this smaller posturing jake will really ruffle some feathers and be less likely to scare off less dominant birds.

I'd like to hear your thoughts.

Thanks.

I think you absolutely right, buy one and tells us after season your thoughts.

Gobble!

I rarely use decoys but purchased one and have already watched three die over it. Two fought it and stood on its back until it fell over. Cows unfortunately seem to like it as well.

Glad to hear of the success! Nothing like a subordinate in a Boss Tom's territory to get things fired up!

Now, let's hear about those cows!  Sounds like there is a story behind that one.  :funnyturkey:

I hate hunting in blinds, especially with decoys in a cow pasture. But with a 5 year old, it was the path I chose. Spent 45 minutes chasing cows away from the DSD posturing Jake and hen. One thought the jakes beard tasted good. Thankfully I convinced the cows to leave about 30 minutes before a long beard showed up.
