Hey guys, hoping our Alabama hunters could help me out with a little guidance. I shot my third gobbler in Georgia today and tagged out. I've considered trying my hand at a public land bird in Alabama, and I'm just over an hour away from Barbour Creek WMA past Eufaula. Never been there and would be headed in completely blind. Let me preface this by saying I am NOT cyber scouting. Not looking for any gifts or somebody's secret spot, just hoping someone could give me a starting point where I might be at least within a mile of a turkey somewhere. The rest I'll do on my own. So here are my questions. One, what are the turkeys doing in south Alabama right now, are they fired up? Hens nesting? Henned up? Etc. Also, anybody have any experience at Barbour Creek? Just wondered how the hunting is there and if there's enough turkeys to be worth my time. Thanks for any help.
