Box call Screech

[Tennessee Lead]

I just got a box call in that has a screech from the spring on the paddle.
Is there any way to eliminate that without harming the call?

I use bow string wax to get rid of squeaks. A little on the top of the spring and some on the underneath side of the screw head usually takes care of it.
