I'm planning a last week of May hunt in Nebraska either in NW or north central part. If anyone has tips they are willing to share on what to expect the turkey activity to typically be like please dm me. I can offer info on turkeys or deer hunting in my home area of central Illinois. Thanks

Public land birds in those areas are pretty pressured by then. Most gobblers will still have some hens. Be prepared for any weather such as heat, rain, cold, and even snow in those parts of Nebraska.

I have annually hunted N Central Nebraska the last week of May for three years now. Birds still working hens, but will be mostly bred. Be prepared for them to cover some ground, but also be prepared for them to lock up in low, shady spots near water. If it's still spring by then, you'll be on birds moving a lot more, but if it's basically summer like it was two years ago, they're gonna be locked down and harder to find and get them to move. Both have advantages to figuring out ways to kill them.

Good luck!

Late May is good. Birds are off the cattle ranches and moving.
Good luck to a fellow central IL hunter.

When I turkey hunt I use a DSD decoy

I've hunted them till the end of the month several years...as stated birds are pressured not super vocal and seeking shade.

One year I saw a hen with poults already on the 31st, also saw strutters the same day!

Patterning them is vital!
